If you're a die-hard Mobile Legends, Dota 2, or CS2 fan, you know how thrilling it is to follow an intense esports match. But there's one way to make every game even more exciting – by placing a bet on the team you believe in. At y8games, we understand the Malaysian esports community better than anyone, which is why our esports betting platform is built with the real needs of local fans in mind.
Malaysia actually has an impressive track record in Southeast Asian esports. Teams like Fnatic (which once fielded many Malaysian players in their lineup), Todak, RSG MY, and MY Wolves have represented the country with distinction across various international tournaments. MPL Malaysia has grown into one of the most competitive Mobile Legends leagues in the region, drawing stadium crowds that rival football matches. y8games provides full coverage of all these tournaments, meaning you can bet on your favourite teams in every match of the season.
One question new players at y8games often ask is how to get started with esports betting smartly when they're still new to the scene. The answer is straightforward – start with a game you already know and follow. If you're a Mobile Legends player yourself, you already have a significant edge over those who only watch. You understand the meta heroes, you can read different teams' drafting styles, and you pick up on in-game situations faster. That kind of game knowledge is a genuine asset when you start analysing matches for betting purposes at y8games.
For Dota 2, y8games offers one of the widest market selections in esports betting. Beyond the basic match winner market, you can bet on a wide range of outcomes — which team draws first blood, total kills within a given period, whether a game will run over or under a set duration, and even Roshan markets, a feature unique to Dota 2 that can completely swing the course of a game. This variety of markets makes every Dota 2 game on y8games more engaging and opens up greater value opportunities for players who truly know the game.
CS2 is an ideal game for players who love statistics and data. Unlike MOBAs, CS2 features highly detailed performance records for every player and team — kill-death ratios, headshot rates, per-map performance, side records (CT or T), and much more. y8games puts all of this information directly within our betting interface, letting you make better-informed decisions before placing a bet on your chosen CS2 match. Tournaments such as ESL, IEM, BLAST and ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia are all on the y8games esports calendar.
PUBG Mobile and Free Fire have an enormous fanbase in Malaysia, particularly among younger players aged 18 to 25. y8games provides full coverage of PMSL SEA (PUBG Mobile Super League South East Asia) and FFWS SEA (Free Fire World Series) – two tournaments that regularly feature Malaysian teams. Battle royale titles offer betting markets that are unique compared to 1v1 or 5v5 games, including placement markets (a team's final standing), total kills, and whether a specific team will claim the chicken dinner.
Valorant is the fastest-growing esports title over the past two years, and y8games is fully on board with comprehensive coverage of VCT Pacific — the premier Valorant league for the Asia-Pacific region. While Malaysia doesn't yet have a direct representative in VCT Pacific, many Malaysian players compete within regional rosters, and anyone following the Valorant scene in Malaysia will already be familiar with the teams in contention.
All payments and withdrawals for esports betting at y8games use payment methods familiar to Malaysian players – Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, Boost, ShopeePay, and FPX online banking including Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit is just RM10, with bets starting from as low as RM5 per match. Winnings are processed quickly and can be withdrawn within 5 to 30 minutes of making a request.
